Our guides are the fabric of the experience. Upon entering camp, you will meet with your guide to discuss your hunting history, what you hope to experience at Rocky Bluff, review a hit list of the latest deer on the property, and help ensure that your equipment is sighted in.

Limited hunters
We will only take a set limit of hunters per season to ensure a low pressure hunt experience. In 2023, we are limiting the hunt to the “rut” only, so space is limited. This ensures that all of our hunters have a one-of-a-kind, unique experience to truly shoot a monster Buffalo County Buck!
Our guides are essential to the family-like experience our hunters have at Rocky Bluff Outfitters & Lodge. All guides are familiar with the land; hunting it, monitoring it and cultivating it for the best guided hunt possible.
Buffalo County, Wisconsin is known for “Monster Buck” and we want you to truly have the chance to bag one yourself. To ensure that chance, we take on a limited amount of hunters per season and make sure that the group is a cohesive one that can enjoy the hunt out in the field and relaxing back at camp.

Upon entering camp, you’ll meet with your guide to discuss your hunting history, what you hope to experience, and review a hit list of the latest deer on the property.

Equipment
Prior to going out on your hunt, our guides will assist you in making sure that your equipment is properly sighted in for the best experience possible in the field.
Out in the field
Our guides will go with you to make sure that you reach your stand and are familiar with the key pinch points. They work with you to familiarize you with the deer in the area.
Expect to arrive at camp and feel like you are at home. We offer a limited number of people in camp to truly make the experience like you are “hunting with family”. Hunt in either elevated box blinds (Grizzly, Shadow Hunters, Hawk) or sit in a ladder stand (RiverEdge). We encourage our hunters to sit all day to maximize the hunting experience and we stop at no expense to ensure that our hunters are comfortable in the stand.
